11:00 trailhead- hike to hut begins
3:00 arrive at hut
Wednesday April 13
Hut activities-in and directly around-no venturing
Thursday April 14
9:00 depart hut
12:00 pizza at Leadville Pizza Hut
2:30 return to CCS

Spring Hut Trip Outdoor Ed. 2016
Pack List (This does not include what you wear to school)
Please label items in permanent marker
- long pants – fleece and/or quick dry are best
- 1 t-shirt
- 1 fleece or sweater – not cotton
- long underwear, synthetic, wool or silk- not cotton
- warm winter coat – waterproof
- rain gear: jacket and pants or poncho
- 2 socks, wool or synthetic- not cotton
- underwear for 2 days
- gloves
- warm hat
- sun hat/visor/sunglasses/goggles
- worn in hiking boots or sturdy tennis shoes
- sleeping bag (lighter is better)
- flashlight or head lamp with extra batteries
- necessary personal items
- 2 sturdy water bottles with screw-top lid (wide mouth best for hut water system)
- washcloth or bandana
- 2-4 small trash bags (work great to wrap around feet if wet and keep wet items in)
- any medicines please give to teacher ahead of time and label with directions

If you have a good backpack that fits your child properly, and/or newer snowshoes, please bring these.
