Happy Friday! The 5th and 6th graders had a productive first week back at school after outdoor ed. Students got back into routines in math, language arts, art, and music, as well as a science, social studies, and health rotation. We moved into brand new lockers, and students learned their new schedules. We also started mixed 5-8 advisory groups after lunch where we are focusing on creating a positive school culture. Additionally, 5th and 6th graders presented this morning at All School Meeting, recapping their outdoor ed trips accompanied by slideshows.
This afternoon, students created and performed skits in the central area around the theme of inclusion. Here are a few pictures of them in action!
We’ve had a great first week and are looking forward a year full of challenge and growth in the 5-6!
