Traditions are holding on at Aspen Community School! With so many changes it is nice to know that some things are staying the same. Eighth graders still lead the school. Each Friday at All School Meeting one eighth grade gives a personalized graduation speech. Eighth graders will give panel presentations at the end of the year including the important “Who Am I” paper. The 2020 graduates will all get their portraits taken professionally at school so that the photographs can be framed and hung on the wall with the many graduates before them. Maintaining the strengths of ACS culture supports us all.
Students have also been learning many types of new skills. From how to attend Zoom Meetings to journaling and home gardening teachers, students and parents alike have all gotten pretty good at flipgrids and other online tools. We look forward to the time we can all be together again, we know this is hard work, but for right now we are all keeping after it!
