ACS News February 28, 2020

As we enjoy our snowy winter remember Spring is almost here!  March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.

We can all celebrate the successful Family Hoedown.  Both ACS and CCS made over $40,000!  Silent auction items are still available for pickup here at the ACS Front Desk. Look what happens when we all work and play together!  Thank you to everyone who took part in making it a success.

Driveway Etiquette Our driveway is snowy.  Slow Down coming DOWNHILL.  The Uphill traffic has the right of way.  Always yield to the school bus!  Thanks.

Time to Book Your Spring Conference  The teachers have released the conference schedule for March 19 and 20.  You can book directly online or if you have any questions please call me 970-923-4080.  I can support you to coordinate multiple conferences. Click here for the link to Art and Music Conferences.  They will be held in the Art Room.  5 minutes for Art and 5 minutes for Music.  Unfortunately they need to be this short so that Hilary and Veronica can meet with families from the whole school.  Schedule them for before or after your classroom conferences.

Have you heard Your Student talking about Empty Bowls?
Mark your calendars for the annual Empty Bowls dinner on March
4th from 5-7 pm at Bumps, Buttermilk. $10 cash or check
Empty Bowls brings together 3 schools through art to raise money for
hunger awareness.  Please join us at Bumps on Buttermilk with
over 600 handmade bowls from Aspen Middle School,
Aspen Country Day School and ACS to raise money for Lift Up.
Come enjoy a simple meal of soup, bread and dessert with live musical entertainment.

Last year we were able to donate over $4500 to Lift up from this fundraiser.

This event would not be possible without the generous donations from local
restaurants, a grant from the Aspen Thrift Shop and YOUR HELP.
